Modern Slavery Statement

Last updated: August 2026 · Wizardtec Ltd trading as Storywizard

In short: We are too small to be legally required to publish this. We publish it because schools ask, and because the answer should be the same whatever size the company is.

1. Where we stand

We will not knowingly buy from, or work with, anyone who uses forced labour, child labour or trafficked workers. If we found it in our supply chain we would stop the arrangement and report it.

2. Why this is voluntary

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires a statement from businesses turning over £36 million or more a year. We are well below that, so nothing obliges us to publish one.

We publish it anyway. Schools and local authorities ask suppliers of every size about this now, and it is a reasonable thing to ask.

3. What we are

Wizardtec Ltd trades as Storywizard. We turn a child’s own story idea into a printed book and sell it to families and schools in the UK.

Registered in: England & Wales
Company number: 17294179
Size: One director, no employees. The work is done by the director or bought in from suppliers.

4. Who we buy from

The chain is short:

We manufacture nothing ourselves. We use no agencies, no seasonal labour and no labour providers, and we recruit nobody. The risk inside our own operation is close to nil.

5. Where the real risk is

Further up the chain, not in it. Pulp and paper production, printing consumables and freight are where the risk sits in a business like ours, and we cannot see that far. Saying otherwise would be dishonest. Choosing a B Corp printer is our main way of getting some assurance about the part we cannot inspect.

6. What we actually do about it

7. Telling us something is wrong

If you think modern slavery is happening anywhere in our business or our supply chain, email help@storywizard.uk. It will be read by the director and, if there is anything in it, passed to the authorities.

You can also report it independently to the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700 or the police on 101. In an emergency, 999.

8. Review

Reviewed every year, and whenever our suppliers change. Approved by the director.
